John Wegehaupt, 24; I'm a college student, I love to watch movies, love to write and read, look at creative things and listen to music. I also really like coffee. :P

I also read the Hunger Games for the first time about a month ago. I was excited to read this after hearing the hype of both the book and the film.  It was a very quick read and I read it in two days actually and really liked it. I really liked the story/idea and how the contestants needed to cater towards their sponsors.  But I also had some gripes with the book as well.  I didn’t really think the book went as in-depth about certain things that they should have, and I found the ending to be predictable/cliche.  Other than those two things  I really did like the book though, and look forward to reading the next two books in the trilogy.

So continuing with the reviews of the books I’ve read this summer.  This book I finished almost a month ago and it’s name is; A Clash of Kings.  It is the second book in the Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire series.  The book was another long one coming in at about 750 pages but i loved every bit of it.  The tension in the book kept building and building until the end when some huge thing takes place.  Overall the book was really awesome, with great characters, but not quite as good as the first one, but still awesome. I have more reviews to come!

“He’ll be famous - a legend - I wouldn’t be surprised if today was known as Harry Potter day in future - there will be books written about Harry - every child in our world will know his name!”

My boss gave me these films today! He didn’t want them anymore, haven’t seen Into the Wild :)

Sometimes I feel like i’m a bad person because there are so many things I want, and I spend a lot of money, when I already have so much.  I should be satisfied with all the things I have, but it seems that i’m always wanting something else once I get what I want; its a never ending cycle ;/

So I’ve been reading a lot this last month and a half and plan to read a lot of books this summer so I thought I would share my thoughts on each. :)

I read the book; Game of Thrones; the first book in the series, A Song of Ice and Fire, in April and I was blown away. I was amazed how deep the book was and also how many characters there was to keep track of, and how well the book dealt with it. It’s a series where no one is safe, and I love it for that; I think it’s a classic and is definitely one of my favorites.
